The First Trust Small Cap Value AlphaDEX® Fund is an exchange-traded fund. The investment objective of the Fund is to seek investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield, before the Fund's fees and expenses, of an equity index called the NASDAQ AlphaDEX® Small Cap Value Index. The NASDAQ AlphaDEX® Small Cap Value Index is an “enhanced” index created and administered by Nasdaq, Inc. (“Nasdaq”) which employs the AlphaDEX® stock selection methodology to select stocks from the NASDAQ US 700 Small Cap Value Index that meet certain criteria.
