The First Trust Asia Pacific ex-Japan AlphaDEX® Fund is an exchange-traded fund. The investment objective of the Fund is to seek investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield, before the Fund's fees and expenses, of an equity index called the NASDAQ AlphaDEX® Asia Pacific Ex-Japan Index. The NASDAQ AlphaDEX® Asia Pacific Ex-Japan Index is an "enhanced" index created and administered by Nasdaq, Inc. ("Nasdaq") which employs the AlphaDEX® stock selection methodology to select stocks from the NASDAQ Asia Pacific Ex-Japan Index that meet certain criteria.
